2025 Giveback Saturday Charities

Giving back and community have always been pillars of Fielding Hills and the Wade family. We support and allocate resources with a focus on literacy, children, and education. Over the years, there have been numerous opportunities for the winery to support and spotlight local organizations. We recognize that great wine brings people together and when we come together for causes larger than ourselves, the wine tastes even better. Our original “wine club,” founded in the early 2000s, simply consisted of a $25 joining fee that we donated to Wenatchee-area charities. Beginning in 2017, we have donated the proceeds from our Concentric Wine Project label to charities in both the Chelan and Wenatchee Valleys. We make an effort to support organizations that are founded and/or managed locally, ensuring that more of our community’s time and resources stay within our region.

One of our favorite holiday traditions has become our Giveback Saturdays. Since 2020, on the three Saturdays leading up to Christmas Day, we spotlight local charitable organizations doing meaningful work in our community. Each week, representatives from the organizations are onsite — and sometimes even behind the bar — sharing their stories and pouring glasses of our wines. A portion of our daily sales is donated back to the featured nonprofit, so every glass poured helps make a difference. We are thrilled to share our 2025 causes and hope that you take a moment during the holiday hustle to pause, enjoy a glass of wine, and engage with your community.

About Lake Chelan Food Bank

In the beginning, the Food Bank operated out of a bookcase in Saint Andrew’s Episcopal Church.

It has long been the dream of past and current board members to have a permanent home. Today, thanks to generous donations from the community, we now operate out of a wonderful new building located at 417 S. Bradley, serving families throughout the Chelan Valley.

The Food Bank is open Tuesday and Saturday mornings from 8:30–10:00 a.m. During the winter months, the need is great and 200–250 families are served each week. Countless volunteers (with no paid staff!) distribute food to community members in need. We even deliver to elderly clients who are unable to travel to the Food Bank.

Two things have remained constant over the years: the incredible giving spirit of Chelan businesses, individuals, and farmers — and, of course, our amazing volunteers. For more information, please visit lakechelanfoodbank.org. Donations of any amount are welcome.

About 911 Glass Rescue

An organization Fielding Hills has supported since its inception  and our longest-standing Giveback Saturday recipient, 911 Glass Rescue is a community service project of the Rotary Club of Lake Chelan. They repurpose all types of used glass into useful products, providing materials to the City of Chelan for public works projects and selling to local residents for a modest fee to help fund operations.

The mission of 911 Glass Rescue is to “rescue” used glass from the landfill, preventing early landfill demise. Each year, Americans dispose of 9–11 million tons of glass, mostly as trash, despite its recyclability. This operation “saves” both glass and landfill space.

On July 24, 2024, a devastating fire destroyed the glass crusher (affectionately named “Paulie”). 911 Glass Rescue is thrilled that 2026 will see the debut of Paulie 2.0 and the return of their important work. 911GlassRescue.org

About Lake Chelan Rotary Scholarship Fund

Rotary began in Chicago in 1905, over 119 years ago. Our own club was founded in 1926. As we approach our 100-year anniversary of serving the Lake Chelan Valley in 2026, we continue to follow the motto “Service Above Self” to strengthen both our local community and communities abroad.

“What exactly does a Lake Chelan Rotarian do?” you may ask.
You’ll find us reading to students in elementary classrooms, cleaning up trash along highways and in local parks, teaching high school students about entrepreneurship, awarding annual scholarships at Chelan and Manson High Schools, promoting environmental stewardship on Earth Day, and traveling to Kenya to build schools, bathrooms, and water tanks for rural villages.
